Sustainability Lead

Our client is keen on fast-forwarding their Sustainability Transformation by formulating an ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) strategy within a specified ESG field, aiming to fulfill their 2030 and 2040 objectives and vision.

Establish ambitious, yet attainable, ESG objectives by thoroughly understanding the needs and strategies of both clients and the company over the long term. Define the company's strategic path to adeptly meet changing requirements.

- Obtain approval for these objectives from business owners and corporate governance.

- Create a detailed set of initiatives to achieve these objectives, track their advancement, provide educational resources, support specialist communities, secure necessary ESG resources (in collaboration with business units and key stakeholders), and guide governance and expert groups to boost the organization's proficiency in ESG and data management.

- Ensure initiatives are adequately funded and resources are effectively allocated.

- Consistently collect, manage, and disseminate ESG information across the Group and to clients, facilitating strategic communications and breaking down complex issues for a varied audience with the goal of achieving specific results.

- Drive the evolution of the organization's direction and vision by developing innovative concepts and models, converting trends and insights into practical actions.

In domain performance management, review and enhance ESG targets within the specified area, collaborating closely with Business Units and market stakeholders to develop a strategic roadmap and actionable plans that include intermediate targets and compliance with regulatory developments. Actively engage company-wide stakeholders to improve KPIs and sustainability initiatives, ensuring alignment with the ESG team on best practices and reporting standards, and maintaining regular coordination with the ESG group director to ensure alignment with corporate objectives.

For stakeholder engagement, take the lead as Product Owner within the domain, working alongside sustainability experts and business unit members to collect and analyze sustainability data, meet reporting requirements, and drive performance improvements. Regularly synchronize with ESG points of contact across Business Units to ensure initiatives are effectively implemented, fostering team growth and cohesion to achieve group ESG targets.

In data management and analysis, collect and interpret relevant data to support the organization’s sustainability goals, ensuring accuracy and actionable insights. Conduct in-depth sustainability data analyses, benchmarking, and gap analysis to identify improvement areas, and develop comprehensive reports and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with sustainability reporting standards and regulations. Lead IT/data development projects from end to end, providing guidance at the intersection of business, technology, and operations, prioritizing features and metrics to meet disclosure requirements and business strategy, ensuring quality deliverables within budget.

The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree (or a Bachelor's with equivalent experience), bringing a comprehensive skill set including 7 years of relevant experience in the ESG sector and 2 years in Business Program Management.
